Common questions, and how to reach a person.
How do I sign in? I never set a password.
Kinnon doesn’t use passwords. Enter your email and we’ll send you an 8-digit code — type that in and you’re signed in. Codes last an hour, and you can tap “Send it again” if one doesn’t arrive. If it still doesn’t show up, check your spam folder.
How do I invite my partner, a grandparent, or a sitter?
Settings → Invite someone. Pick the role that fits: adults can add and edit anything, grandparents get a simplified read-only view, and caregivers see the care sheets they need. They’ll get an email invitation to join your household.
Does everyone I invite have to pay?
No. One subscription covers the whole household — whoever set it up. Everybody you invite joins free.
How do I add an event without typing it all out?
Two shortcuts. Photograph a flyer or invitation and Kinnon reads the details off it. Or forward an invitation email to your household’s private address, found in Settings → Add via email. Either way the event lands in your calendar for you to confirm.
Can I get Kinnon events into my phone’s calendar?
Yes. Settings → Calendar sync, then choose a calendar already on your phone — iCloud, a local one, or a Google account you’ve added in iOS Settings. Kinnon copies its events there. It’s one-way: changes made in your phone’s calendar don’t come back to Kinnon.
How do I add or remove a family member?
Family tab → + to add. To remove someone, open them from the Family tab, tap Edit, and scroll to the bottom.
What are the care sheets for?
Each child has a care sheet with allergies, medications, doctors, school details and routines — everything a sitter or grandparent might need. Grandparents and caregivers you invite can see it but can’t change it.
Where do the local event suggestions come from?
Kinnon searches the web for real, upcoming events near the home city in your settings, matched to your children’s ages. Turn on “Include events for adults” for things like breweries and tastings.
How do meal plans and shopping lists work together?
Add recipes to days in the Meals tab — suggested by Kinnon, imported from a link, or typed in yourself. Then build a shopping list from that week and the ingredients are gathered for you, with duplicates combined.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed through Apple, so they’re cancelled in iOS Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Kinnon. In the app, Settings → Billing → Manage takes you straight there.
What happens to our data if we stop subscribing?
Nothing right away. Your household is archived 30 days after a subscription lapses, and permanently deleted 60 days after that. Resubscribe any time before then and everything’s still there.
Who can see our family’s information?
Only people in your household. Nothing is shared with other Kinnon households or sold to anyone. Our Privacy Policy has the full detail.
Still stuck?
Email [email protected] and a person will get back to you. Telling us your household name and what you were doing when it went wrong helps us sort it faster.
