Kinnon (“we,” “us”) helps families organize calendars, tasks, and household information. This page explains what we collect, why, and how it’s protected.

What we collect

Your email address (used only to sign you in — we never see or store a password). Household information you enter yourself: family member names, birthdates, colors, and any phone, doctor, school, allergy, medication, sizing, or routine details you choose to add. Calendar events, to-dos, and shopping lists you create. Your home city and state, if you add one, used to find nearby family events. Push notification tokens, so we can send reminders. Sign-in history, kept for 60 days to protect your account.

Photos and AI features

If you photograph a flyer to auto-fill an event, the image is sent to our AI provider to read the details and is never stored afterward. Recipe suggestions and local-event searches send your home city/state, children’s ages, and search terms to our AI provider to generate results — never your name, email, or other household details.

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share only what each feature needs with the services that run it: Supabase (hosting and our database), Anthropic (AI-generated suggestions), Resend (invitation emails), RevenueCat and Apple (subscription billing), and Amazon Alexa (only if you choose to link an Alexa account).

How long we keep it

Your household data stays as long as your account is active. If a trial or subscription lapses, the household is archived after 30 days and permanently deleted 60 days after that (90 days total) unless you resubscribe. Sign-in history is deleted after 60 days.

Children’s information

Kinnon is used by parents and caregivers to organize their family — children never create an account, sign in, or interact with the app directly. Any information about a child (name, birthdate, allergies, etc.) is entered voluntarily by the adult managing the household.

Security

All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Access is scoped per household — no one outside your household, including other Kinnon households, can see your data.

Your choices

You can update or delete any information you entered at any time from within the app. To delete your entire household and all its data, contact us at [email protected].

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we’ll update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
